How to install VMS license in Linux?

In LINUX/UBUNTU

Please remember the following pre-requisites that needs to be done prior replacing the License key.

A. Stop the running SmartAlert Service and Java services by using command KILLALL on the terminal.

B. First we need to stop SmartAlert service and then Java services, please follow the command until we get the response " no process found ".

Steps to replace the License on the server:

STEP 1: File activation.v2a which you have received from VTPL, please copy the same and then open Computer.

                You will notice a folder OPT (circled below).

STEP 2: After entering the OPT folder you will notice IVMSProServer folder. 

STEP 3: Enter the IVMSProServer and you will see there is an activation.v2a file, so paste and replace it with the file which VTPL shared with you (activation.v2a) 

STEP 4: Open the VMS folder,  paste  the new activation.v2a to replace the old activation.v2a file.

STEP 5 : Repeat the process of STEP 4 in VAS folder under IVMSProServer

STEP 6: Repeat Step 4 for media server folder under IVMSProServer 

STEP 7: Successfully Completed. Now we can START the SmartAlert service for the smooth operation.
