How To Delete A Camera

It is necessary to follow the below basic points when we delete a camera manually from Client application.

For Example, here we are going with camera 2_TSS Bay 202


Once we decided to delete a camera we should aware about the deletion of recorded clips automatically however we forget to delete the records from database ends.

Log IN the SQL server and go to the V_Channel in the Table Rows for getting the ID of the camera for further actions.


Right Click on V_Channel and select for Rows-Limit 1000 to open the channel description. Once it clicked a new query box will open at the right side of dashboard.

Here we can identify the camera id with the help of specified Name or assigned IP like TSS Bay 202. Here the channel id is 2. 

Just go down for channel id 2 to make the deletion of clips.

Now we can see the V_Video_clip_2 for the required camera and right click for selecting the Rows-Limit 1000.

When the page will open, we can see the storage path (E) ,in which server ( SVMEDIAS0000000000000E0)and the required deletion clips as shown in above figure.

Then just select the Rows for required deletion and click the Delete Rows option after Right Clicking on it.


We can identify the clips by mentioned timestamp on the header of the table. Please click on APPLY icon to delete it permanently from the database.


We will find the APPLY icon at the right corner of bottom in the database.


Once clicked on APPLY option there is a SQL Script page will open for NEXT step.

Ensure to hit the finish button for applying on the modify changes.

Please Exit the SQL and go to local drive of the concern media server as marked .


Delete the marked clips as per database from the media server(s). Now Deletion process is completed successfully.
